Capacity Building Programme
Ms Sarah El-Batoutty, Global Ambassador, UNFCCC led an amazing and interactive session with the delegates on the opening of the COP28 Simulation - Capacity Building Programme.
The opening also included a warm welcome and discussions with the delegates by Dr Sarah Elkhishin, the Head of the COP Simulation Model, Dr Hala Hattab, the Capacity Building Coordinator, Dr Abeer Shakweer, the UNDP Assistant Resident Representative and Dr Suzanna El-Massah, Sustainability Programme Director at Zayed University.
The Capacity Building Programme is the first stage of the COP28 Simulation Model which includes about 46 universities from 33 countries around the world, such as Egypt, India, Tunisia, Brazil, Turkey, Comoros, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, and other countries.
The COP28 Simulation Model was organised by the British University in Egypt, the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP), and Zayed University under the auspices of Professor Mahmoud Mohieldin, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion.
