Quality, Standards and Accreditation
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ is recognised for its educational excellence and robust academic governance. As one of the few Egyptian Higher Education institutions to offer ‘dual degrees’, where students undertake awards validated by Egypt’s Supreme Council of Universities and one of our UK Validating Partners, we provide a double-layer of quality assurance through compliance with each country’s standards.
The University is accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities, the only designated official entity in Egypt for the recognition and equivalence of academic qualifications and degrees awarded by universities and institutions that are not subject to Universities Law No. 49 or foreign Higher Education institutions, and complies with the legislative and educational requirements of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
We operate in accordance with the National Authority for Quality Assurance & Accreditation of Education's (NAQAAE) quality and standards systems and frameworks, meeting all requirements of the Egyptian National Academic Reference Standards (NARS), and around half of our provision is formally accredited for the achievement of national academic and educational quality standards. NAQAAE is the regulatory authority for accreditation in Egypt under the supervision of His Excellency, the Egyptian Prime Minister.
The University is also accredited by the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education following the QAA’s International Quality Review and demonstrates achievement of the 10 European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance. The University is the first QAA-accredited university in Egypt and North Africa, and the second academic institution in the whole continent of Africa to receive this accreditation.
