On Sunday, 2nd February 2025, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ hosted the GEN Z Recognition Event, a momentous occasion dedicated to honouring the remarkable success of students who participated in the prestigious GEN Z programme. This event served as a platform to celebrate their achievements, hard work, and innovative spirit.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Mohamed Ayman Ashour, along with distinguished members of the judging panel and senior leaders from the United Media Services. Joining them were Ms Farida Khamis, Chair of the Board of Trustees; Professor Mohamed Loutfi, President and Vice-Chancellor; and other esteemed personalities and Board Members. Their presence underscored the significance of the event and the role it plays in shaping the future of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The ceremony included speeches from key figures, recognising the extraordinary efforts of the participants and applauding their dedication to advancing technology and addressing critical challenges. Attendees were inspired by the stories of determination and creativity shared throughout the event, highlighting the impact of youth-led innovations.

Two standout projects received special recognition for their groundbreaking achievements. G Minds, a team from Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ’s Business Incubator, developed augmented reality (AR) glasses that transform academic curricula into interactive, animated games, earning a funding prize of 1,500,000 EGP. Chi to Heal, a team from the Faculty of Pharmacy, introduced an innovative medical spray for second-degree burns, securing a funding prize of 500,000 EGP. Both teams demonstrated the ingenuity and commitment fostered within Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ’s academic and entrepreneurial environment.

The GEN Z Recognition Event celebrated not only individual accomplishments but also the collective spirit of innovation that defines Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ. By bringing together leaders, innovators, and aspiring changemakers, the event reaffirmed the university’s dedication to empowering the next generation and fostering a culture of excellence.
