Senior Programmes Management Specialist -Enterprise

Job Purpose

The Programmes Management Specialist will lead and manage entrepreneurial initiatives at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ»ÆÆ¬ (Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ»ÆÆ¬), fostering innovation and supporting startups. This includes designing & coordinating programs, applying for funding opportunities, building partnerships, and providing resources to empower entrepreneurs. The role ensures alignment with university’s mission to address industry challenges and drive economic and societal impact through enterprise development.

 

Job Responsibilities

- Design and manage events, projects, workshops, training sessions, and boot camps for incubated startups and university students.

- Research and identify funding opportunities aligned with Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ»ÆÆ¬’s entrepreneurial mission.

- Develop funding proposals and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

- Identify and apply for internal and external funding opportunities.

- Develop and enlarge a network of business and technical mentors.

- Build partnerships with external organisations, investors, and donors for collaboration and resource sharing.

- Track and maintain records of startups' progress, milestones, and mentor engagements.

- Liaise with the Admin Coordinator on the required legal, administrative and financial follow-up.

- Maintain a record of each startup’s progress and ensure their technical and financial milestones are met.

- Assist in recruiting startups and promoting the incubator.

- Perform any additional task assigned by the Line Manager.

 

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration is preferable.

- MBA is a plus. 

Experience:

- 2 to 5 years’ experience in a business incubator, a start-up advisory or any kind of entrepreneurial experience would be preferred.

- Experience of devising and delivering entrepreneurship education and training.

- Experience working with young people in a training, coaching and delivery environment.

- Experience of working in a Higher Education environment is a plus.

- Experience of working within a fast paced, proactive and client focused/service-oriented team.

- Experience in IP protection and patent filling is a plus.

Technical Skills:

- Excellent stakeholder and interpersonal management skills including the ability to develop and manage partnerships and to mentor, coach and support a diverse range of entrepreneurs.

- Understanding of legal contracts and Intellectual Property issues and ability to advise or signpost as required.
