Student Experience Associate- Student Life Centre
Job Purpose
The Student Experience Associate will allow development across a range of areas including recruitment, admissions, the international office, student affairs and student support services and good appointees to these roles will be expected to develop into more senior roles in these areas.
Job Responsibilities
- Management of the Front-of-House areas at the Student Life Centre and Student Recruitment & Admissions.
- Acting as an internal “Face of the University”; dealing with inbound enquiries from potential students, existing students and related stakeholders that come into the reception areas, main University switchboard or through the University CRM, e.g.
Greeting visitors entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
Hearing and recording issues from students and resolving issues where possible directly or forwarding to suitable solution provider and tracking through to resolution.
Providing information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices or services provided.
Providing information related to recruitment and admissions including entry requirements, fees, processes and events.
Coordinating front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
Dealing with “emergency” issues in a timely and effective manner
- Performing any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) in relevant field.
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a customer service type role.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects on time and against objectives.
- Experienced user of Microsoft office word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation packages.
- Experience of managing processes and procedures.
- Ability to communicate and present effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people at all levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including report writing and copywriting and/or editing skills.
