COP29 Simulation- Capacity Building Programme
The COP29 Simulation Capacity Building Programme is a two-week online training that connects approximately 160 youth delegates from around the world with experts from local and international institutions. The programme is designed to develop participants' skills in five key areas: Climate Literacy, International Climate Action, Research, Interpersonal and Soft Skills, and Youth Leadership in Climate Action.
By exploring the scientific, legal, political, and economic aspects of climate change through interactive lectures, case studies, discussions, and simulations, participants gain a well-rounded understanding of global climate challenges.
Participants attended a two-week online Capacity Building programme in July that was facilitated and presented by Egyptian and International experts in their fields. Following the capacity building, each participant submitted a research paper on one of the themes addressed at COP29.
Overall, the programme aims to empower young leaders with the tools they need to drive climate action and contribute meaningfully to global climate efforts.
