11th Annual Industry Day
The Faculty of Engineering at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ recently hosted its 11th Annual Industry Day, a distinguished event that gathered leading industry figures, faculty, students, and alumni to celebrate innovation and deepen the synergy between academia and industry.
The day commenced with a Graduation Projects Exhibition, where our Alumni showcased their graduation projects to an audience of pioneering industrial representatives. This exhibition provided an invaluable platform for students to receive feedback from industry experts and explore potential avenues for funding and commercialisation. The atmosphere was charged with creativity and ambition, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and laying the foundation for future partnerships.
Following the exhibition, the Faculty honoured its Partners of Success, paying tribute to CEOs and senior managers from prominent companies who have shown unwavering support for the University's educational mission. These distinguished partners have contributed through opportunities for internships, collaborative projects, and hands-on training, all of which enrich students' practical learning experiences and enhance their employability.
The event also included an enlightening panel discussion moderated by Dr. Mostafa Ghoz, Lecturer at the Mechanical Engineering Department, which brought together experts from academia and industry to discuss a wide variety of topics, including sustainability, energy efficiency, and the emerging challenges within renewable energy.
This year’s Industry Day stood as a testament to the Faculty of Engineering’s dedication to fostering meaningful industry connections, attaining sustainable innovation, and preparing students to excel in a rapidly evolving world.
