Game Design Programme and Illustration Animation Programme
The Faculty of Art and Design is proud to announce its two recently launched programmes: Game Design and Illustration Animation, in collaboration with our academic partner, Manchester Metropolitan University. Our avant-garde programmes are tailored to introduce revolutionary concepts to art and design education. In recent years, game design and animation have become increasingly popular as people realise there is no end in sight to the billion-dollar industries.
The Game Design Programme introduces students to multiple digital, artistic, and creative experiences, that enable them to broaden their inventive horizons and provide them with an exceptional education in digital art technologies, artistic principles, styles, and theories within the game design industry and the wider global creative industries. This fosters a personal creative identity and enables students to improve game designs and digital artwork, in accordance with regional, national, and international cultures and practices. Through this programme, our students can gain an international perspective and be exposed to different cultures and ideas, encouraging a more positive and innovative mindset.
Our BA (Hons) Game Design Programme responds to the creative industries' rapidly flourishing needs, embracing the demand for skillfully accomplished professionals and cutting-edge approaches. It prepares students to work in an increasingly challenging and rewarding field by providing them with a clear perspective on current practices in the creative industry. Students will be equipped with a broad range of practical and conceptual knowledge and skills specific to their chosen career that is applicable across wider creative industries.
The Illustration Animation Programme opens the door to multiple digital, artistic, and creative experiences that will facilitate students to develop their talents across various digital art technologies that combine illustrations with animation and enhance their visual communication capability. The neoteric programme aims to grant undergraduates complete creative freedom to engage in visual thinking, expression, and communication. Students will learn the fundamentals of both illustration and animation, as well as gain an understanding of the principles and techniques used to create digital art. The programme will also provide students with the opportunity to explore their creative potential and develop their own unique style of visual expression.
Our BA (Hons) Illustration Animation Programme aims to produce spectacular graduates with a strong focus on solving real-world problems with adaptability and maturity. The Faculty of Art and Design aims to inspire individuals with a solid foundation of knowledge and technical capability to contribute to the development of the local and international Illustration and Animation fields.
