Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ»ÆÆ¬ & UNDP Align to Host Run for Quality Education
Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ»ÆÆ¬, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, was proud to host the 3rd annual run at the University Campus, a dynamic event reaffirming our shared commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with this year’s focus on SDG4: Quality Education.
Organised with precision by Cairo Runners, the marathon was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the British Embassy, and the Innovators Support Fund. The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Professor Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, who completed the 2KM walk alongside Chair of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Farida Khamis, President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohamed Loutfi, and UNDP Resident Representative in Egypt, Mr. Alessandro Fracassetti.
They were joined by esteemed guests including His Excellency Mr. Elkhan Polukhov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan; His Excellency Mr. Nelson Manuel Cosme, Ambassador of Angola; His Excellency Mr. Dominic Goh, Ambassador of Singapore; His Excellency Mr. Sabet Subašić, Ambassador of Bosnia; Mr. Raimo Pahkasalo, First Secretary and Consul at the Embassy of Finland in Cairo, representing the Embassy of Finland; Engineer Bassam Mohamed, El Shorouk District Chief; Engineer Sameh Soliman, CEO of Samco; Mr. Ismail Talby, Board Member, AfricInvest; Professor Nadia Zakhary, Court Member at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ»ÆÆ¬; and Mr. Hani Ayad, Executive Director of the Innovation and Talent Fund. Their presence underscored the importance of inclusive, accessible, and equitable education for all, and the collective international commitment to supporting SDG4.
