Community Services

Welcome Note

As part of its mission, the purpose of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ is to help build strong technical and business skills that attract inward investment to Egypt. To achieve this, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ has a vision that its learning and teaching should produce skilled and capable graduates to serve the local, regional and international community.
This can only happen by providing an academic environment that encourages and draws together research, learning, and teaching and engages with the social, professional and business communities, to underpin high quality academic provision, and advance industry and the professions.
This is achieved via close and intimate collaboration and understanding between the university, the business community and society.

Faculty Community Service Objectives & Actions

The Faculty intends to become a leading professional development provider in Egypt for both the general public and the stakeholder community, by offering a range of services that meet the needs and interests of the local and regional community and utilise the expertise and resources of the Faculty.

Strategic Actions

The Faculty will offer its existing portfolio of activities and will look to consolidate and expand it via Knowledge transfer, Enterprise Education and Competency-based training services.

Knowledge Transfer

It will attempt to promote the University image by:

  1. Developing a marketing plan to promote the courses and, particularly, the new services being provided to meet the needs of the community.
  2. Offering tailored courses to meet the needs of the Community.
  3. Searching for external validation and looking to offer certification of its programmes.

Enterprise Education

As part of its mission to provide its “students” with employability skills, the Faculty will explore the opportunities for introducing courses in enterprise development and new venture creation for both its undergraduates, post-experience students and community members, thereby enabling them to set up their own ventures on “graduation”.

Competency-Based Training Services

High-performance organizations realise that their success depends on how capable their people are. This is where competency-based training comes in. Competency-based training is developed from a competency map that is created for each job role within the organisation.
The proposed plan is to develop training programmes that are custom-designed to achieve specific performance outcomes. We create effective training programmes based on proven adult learning principles.
