Student Records and Registry

This unit’s responsibilities include the following:

• Ensure students’ records are accurate and up to date liaising with other administrative department as appropriate.
• Provide guidance to students and staff on how to access and use the Students Records System (SRS).
• Students’ registration: starting with uploading modules data, registering students on their relevant study plan and modules and ending up with creating the registration card for each student.
• Work closely with the eLearning team and the teaching timetabling unit to ensure students have access to their eLearning and teaching schedules.
• Support Academic Staff to apply the attendance policy on the SRS.
• Provide administrative support and regulatory advice to the examination boards.
• Exchange students’ academic data with UK validating universities, as required.
• Provide analytical data on students’ progression and arrange significant amount of data for the Annual Programme Review (APR) process.
• Support the academic portfolio review process by providing relevant data.
• Implement the decisions of different panels and committees that have impact on the students’ marks i.e. IPs, AMCs, Appeals and mark changes.
• Monitor the functionality of the SRS and recommend enhancement and further developments to different parts.
