LEARNING & BUSINESS CENTERS
Faculty Community Service Objectives & Actions
Strategic Objective
The Faculty aims to establish itself as a prominent professional development provider in Egypt for the general public and stakeholder community. This will be achieved by offering a wide range of services that cater to the needs and interests of the local and regional community while making effective use of the Faculty's expertise and resources.
Strategic Actions
The Faculty will offer its existing portfolio of activities and will look to consolidate and expand it via Knowledge transfer, Enterprise Education and Competency-based training services.
Knowledge Transfer
It will attempt to promote the University's image by:
- Developing a marketing plan to promote the courses and, particularly, the new services being provided to meet the needs of the community.
- Offering tailored courses to meet the needs of the Community.
Enterprise Education
As part of its mission to provide its students with employability skills, the Faculty will explore the opportunities for introducing courses in enterprise development and new venture creation for both its undergraduates, post-experience students and community members, thereby enabling them to set up their own ventures on “graduation”.
Competency-Based Training Services
High-performance organisations realise that their success depends on how capable their people are. This is where competency-based training comes in. Competency-based training is developed from a competency map that is created for each job role within the organisation.
The proposed plan is to develop training programmes that are custom-designed to achieve specific performance outcomes. We create effective training programmes based on proven adult learning principles. The training programmes are available in both English and Arabic and can be delivered using a variety of formats.
