Board of Trustees of ĢƵƬ Visits Campus


ĢƵƬ was delighted to host the University’s Board of Trustees Members on campus this week.
The visit was led by the Chair of the Board, Ms Farida Khamis and our President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohamed Loutfi. During the visit, our Board met with our students who visited Bangladesh as part of the student mobility programme with Daffodil International University and had the chance to meet with Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Professor Muhammad Yunus. The Board also engaged with our students during the Faculty visits where they enjoyed the open discussions on both academic and student life. 

The Board of Trustees Members also attended a performance held by the University’s Choir Team, who delivered an outstanding choir performance at the University’s Auditorium, in the presence of the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Ms Farida Khamis, and the President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohamed Loutfi. 

The event was organised by the Engagement and Student Activities Team, the University’s Student Union, and OMG Activities Club, in collaboration with the Red Cresent to raise donations to support Palestine. The Choir Team showcased their exceptional talents and dedication through harmonious melodies and precise execution.

Also, during his visit Rt Hon Charles Clarke, former United Kingdom Secretary of State for Education and Skills and former Home Secretary delivered an enriching session on “UK Baltic Relations” as part of the unique series of “Talks in Politics”, “دردشة في السياسة” at the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics and Political Science - Department of Political Science.

During this student-led session, Rt Hon Charles Clarke addressed the students at the Department of Political Science and staff members on Baltic Geopolitics, UK Baltic Relations, UK and Egypt in Modern History, and Geopolitical Challenges in the Region. The session was followed by a dynamic discussion between our distinguished guests and students.
